The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Ernest Espiritu, left, and Hospitalman Nidya Salazar, right, were recognized by Capt. Sean Barbabella, Commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, for their excellence in patient care. Espiritu and Salazar recently completed a process improvement project aboard the clinic involving the creation, implementation and sustainment of inventory binders. Both serve in the facility’s Patient Centered Medical Homeport.

MCAS Cherry Point — Staff aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrate the service and dedication of Mr. Tyrone Nevels. Nevels departed the clinic Thursday, January 11, 2024 after serving aboard the facility for 22 years as a General Schedule Civilian Radiology Technologist.

Two Corpsmen serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received awards for their service to patients and fellow staff. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Colin Zuelzke and Hospital Corpsman Yuri Martinez both received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Thursday, January 11. Zuelzke, served aboard the clinic in Patient Centered Medical Home and Martinez Hernandez in Preventative Medicine.
