Urgent & Emergency Care FAQs

What should I do if I have a life-threatening health issue?
Call 911 on base immediately to get emergency care if you have a life-threatening health issue or visit Osan Air Base if it's your nearest hospital. To reach Osan Air Base Emergency Care, call 0505-784-2500 or DSN 315-784-2500.

Are you like the Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH) emergency room at Camp Humphreys?
No, we’re not an emergency room. If you’re concerned about a life-threatening condition (excessive bleeding, seizures, constantly ‘passing out,’ stroke, heart attack, poisoning or others), please go to the closest emergency room or call the appropriate emergency number.

Can I get physical exams through Urgent Care?
No, we instruct patients to follow up with their Primary Care Provider.

How about vaccinations? Please visit your Primary Care Provider or visit the Immunization Clinic (Building 777, top level) to update your vaccination records.
Can I get my medications refilled through Urgent Care?
Urgent Care does not refill pain medications (except Motrin or Tylenol), behavioral health medications (Adderall, Ambien, Zoloft, etc.), or other medications that require close follow up. Please contact your Primary Care Provider or psychiatrist for refills or go to the nearest emergency room. Urgent Care can refill up to 10 days of medications for chronic conditions such as, but not limited to, asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
If I lost my medications during travel, can I refill them at Urgent Care?
We highly recommend you contact your Primary Care Provider or visit the
Mental Health Clinic (Building 768) for support. If you feel suicidal,
homicidal, or are having suicidal/homicidal ideations, please go to the 51st
Medical Group Urgent Care, the nearest emergency room, or call the
appropriate emergency number. Please also consider contacting the National
Suicide Prevention Hotline (800-273-8255 or 988) or the Military Crisis Line
(080-855-5118, 800-273-8255, or 988).
If I don’t have any symptoms but want to be tested for a sexually transmitted disease, pregnancy, possible thyroid problem, erectile dysfunction, or just need my annual labs drawn, can I go to Urgent Care?
Urgent Care primarily manages acute symptoms. Please contact your Primary Care Provider for continuity of care for routine health needs or concerns.
I was seen by a provider from another clinic, but don’t feel I was given proper care; can I visit the Acute Care Clinic?
Every member of the 51st Medical Group strives to provide quality and excellent health care and may not have recognized the patient’s concern. We highly encourage patients to return to the clinic where they were seen and verbally inform staff of their concerns for continuity of care and to clear up any misunderstandings.
I need a consult ordered. Can I go to Urgent Care for this?
Please refer to your Primary Care Provider for consults you want renewed or request for continuity of care and appropriate management.
I feel depressed or anxious; is this something Urgent Care can manage?
We highly recommend you contact your Primary Care Provider or visit the Mental Health Clinic) for support. If I was seen at another clinic for one healthcare concern, can I visit Urgent Care for another problem unrelated to the previous visit?
Yes, Urgent Care recognizes that access can be an issue during certain times and we are happy to serve.
I was seen by a provider from another clinic but was never given a sick or return to work/school note. Can I get that from Urgent Care?
Please contact the provider or clinic where you were seen for these notes.
I need my profile renewed. Can I go to Urgent Care for this?
Urgent Care cannot renew profiles. Please follow up with your Primary Care Provider.
I was seen at Urgent Care. Do I still need to follow up with my Primary Care Provider?
We highly encourage and instruct all beneficiaries to follow up with their Primary Care Provider after visiting Urgent Care; we want to ensure continuity of care, awareness, and reevaluation of their condition by their Primary Care Provider. We also recognize that patients know their current symptoms and how they affect their bodies. We also highly encourage patients to visit the BDAACH emergency room at Camp Humphreys or a host nation emergency room if there are further concerns or a worsening condition the day of, or after, an Urgent Care visit.
Where can I get a copy of my documented visit to Urgent Care?
You can get a copy through the Outpatient Records Department on the upper level of Building 777 (hallway to the left of the Dental Clinic Front Desk). You can also look at all your documented encounter, radiology, and laboratory results in your TRICARE Online Patient Portal (https://www.tricareonline.com). Please give at least 24 to 48 hours for results and records to be uploaded.
How can I send the clinic leadership a note about my experience at Urgent Care?
There are Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) comment cards in the clinic that you could drop off anonymously in our ICE comment box along the hallway. You could also fill out a comment card online at https://ice.disa.mil. Another option is to fill out the Joint Outpatient Experience Survey (JOES) that will come to you in the mail. We highly encourage patients to fill one or both of these surveys in order to improve the patient experience at Urgent Care.
