Hospital Corpsman Second Class Rylie Maloney is the first military applicant to receive an Optician’s License from the state of North Carolina after passing the American Board of Opticianry exam in early summer, 2024. Maloney, a native of Soddy Daisy, Texas, serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Optometry Leading Petty Officer, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility’s Optometry Clinic serving Active-Duty Marines and Sailors assigned to the base, their families and beneficiaries in the surrounding communities.

MCAS Cherry Point — The first week of July, 2024 Sailors and staff of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrate 56 years of the clinic’s role in the readiness of Marines serving in eastern North Carolina and the wellness of their families and nearby communities.

Sailors and staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated excellence in patient care and technical expertise while bidding fond farewells at an awards ceremony conducted Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Recognized from left to right were; With the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Hospital Corpsman Second Class Sophia Crews, Hospital Corpsman First Class Garett Fralix, Hospital Corpsman Third Class Miguel Rodriguez, Hospitalman Devin Kelsey. MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated excellence in patient care and technical expertise while bidding fond farewells at an awards ceremony conducted Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

United States Navy Captain Anja Dabelić makes history at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune as the first woman to lead the Medical Center since its establishment as a haven for care some 80 years ago. Dabelić assumed directorship of the facility and command of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Camp Lejeune on May 21, 2024.

CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – United States Navy Captain Anja Dabelić assumed directorship of the facility and command of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Camp Lejeune on May 21, 2024.

Staff serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point celebrated the retirement of a Chief Petty Officer and the accomplishments of Sailors and civilians during a ceremony conducted Wednesday, May 29 aboard the Clinic. New commander and director welcomed at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) hosted a Change of Command and Directorship ceremony on May 21, 2024, at Marston Pavilion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The ceremony is a formal tradition symbolizing the transfer of total responsibility, authority, and accountability from one officer to another.

Cherry Point Sailors Honor Veterans at Community Celebration

Havelock, North Carolina — Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point conducted the “Old Glory” ceremony at the Havelock Chamber of Commerce’s 21st Annual Salute to the Vets celebration held at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center on Monday, May 14, 2024.

The Presidential Volunteer Service Award pin awarded to Mr. Al Younger, and American Red Cross Volunteer, during a ceremony conducted Monday, May 13 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Younger received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award during the ceremony for his 4,000 hours of volunteer service conducted over 30 years with the American Red Cross.

New clinic expands physical therapy services for Marines, Sailors on Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — A new clinic is increasing physical therapy options for Marines and Sailors on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Rather than defer physical therapy (PT) care to the network, the Warfighter Readiness and Rehabilitation Center has recaptured PT consults for active-duty service members by bringing PT care in closer proximity to military personnel.
