Survey feedback leads to housing improvement for Sailors

CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — Feedback from the 2022 Defense Organizational Climate Survey resulted in new kitchenettes for Sailors at the Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune barracks.

Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point gathered at MCAS Cherry Point’s Hancock Marina on Monday, October 16 to celebrate Sailors receiving “Of the Year” and “Of the Quarter” honors for their contributions towards patient care at the facility.

MCAS Cherry Point — Navy leaders serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point recognized the exceptional performance and diligence of enlisted service members during a luncheon held in their honor Monday, October 16.

Sailors serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point celebrated the U.S. Navy’s 248th Birthday during a ceremony held Friday, October 13, 2023. Sailors serving aboard the base and Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point conducted a ceremony honoring the Navy’s heritage and conducted a cake cutting afterwards.

Cherry Point Clinic Celebrates Phoenix, Arizona Native’s Promotion to Lieutenant Commander

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and Staff at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point gathered Wednesday, September 20 to celebrate the promotion of one of their peers.

Hospital Corpsman Third Class Ernest Espiritu credits his mother’s determination and dedication to raising him as inspiration to serve in the U.S. Navy aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. Espiritu supervises the clinic’s department responsible for providing medical care to family members and beneficiaries living in communities surrounding the base and eastern North Carolina.

Cherry Point Clinic Bids Fair Winds and Following Seas to Career Navy Nurse

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors and Civilians recently bid Fair Winds and Following Seas to an officer who served his entire Navy career as a Nurse.

Hospitalman Miguel Rodriguez serves on the Radiology team aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. The Brownsville, Texas native recently passed the challenging America Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registry exam, earning himself the formal designation as a Radiologic Technologist.

MCAS Cherry Point — A Sailor serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point felt a calling to enter the Radiology field the very first day of his Advanced Individual Training class.

Hospital Corpsman First Class (Fleet Marine Force) Matthew Cutler, left, receives the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal from Capt. Sean Barbabella, Commander of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point during a ceremony held Friday, July 21. Cutler received the award for his dedication to patient care and medical operations while serving aboard Naval Branch Health Clinic, Naval Base Coronado from April 2018 to March 2022.

Navy Lt. Lizette Gonzalez served aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point for three years, ending her tour in Summer 2023 as the as the Department Head of Patient Administration. Gonzalez, a Mustang, previously served as a Marine for 14 years, rising to the rank of Staff Sgt.

MCAS Cherry Point — Navy Lieutenant Lizette Gonzalez understands leadership challenges enlisted Marines and commissioned Navy officers encounter every day.

Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo successfully completed its Operational Readiness Evaluation June 14-21 in Camp Pendleton, California. Approximately 134 EMF Kilo personnel trained in setting up and operating a 50-bed, medical treatment facility. The exercise resulted in formal certification the team is deployment-ready. Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo completes readiness exercise, earns deployment-ready status

CAMP PENDELTON, California — Expeditionary Medical Facility Kilo successfully completed its Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE). The focus of the ORE held in Camp Pendleton, California was testing the command’s ability to stand up a fully functional field hospital, capable of operating when deployed at any location around the world.
