The Phoenix Arizona Native serves aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point as the Leading Petty Officer of the facility’s Pharmacy and credits the encouragement her father, a former rescue swimmer, as her inspiration to continue serving.

Being the 'lifeline for the frontline' means meeting an increased need for blood donations

NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — The Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) helps ensure mission readiness for injured military personnel in need of blood. However, donation numbers have dipped post-pandemic, and Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Blood Donor Center wants to turn that around.

Chief Hospital Corpsman Felix Colon (Fleet Marine Force / Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist) accepts the flag of the United States of America as a token of his faithful 23 years of service to the nation during a ceremony held Thursday, November 2, 2023 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Colon retired during the ceremony, ending his service as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Directorate of Clinical Support Services and Directorate of Medical Services at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point.
