LRMC begins COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11

LANDSTUHL, Germany – Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, the largest American hospital overseas, began COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11, becoming one of the first Military Treatment Facilities overseas to vaccinate that patient population, Nov. 18.

LRMC incorporates high cure rate procedure for cancer

LANDSTUHL, Germany – Over nearly two decades, Richard Reed has traveled from Germany to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center seven times. These weren’t holiday trips but rather medevacs for the treatment of his cancer. Reed’s treatments required a specialized dermatologist trained in Mohs surgery, which until now, wasn’t available in Germany for U.S. citizens living abroad. Recently, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center reintroduced the service for skin cancer patients, which had been missing for decades.

Lyster will conduct a Walk-In Flu Clinic Dec 14 & 16 for enrolled beneficiaries from 0800-1145 and 1300-1545. You can also choose to get your flu shot at a network pharmacy if it’s more convenient for you. If you are Active Duty and receive your flu shot off post, please bring in documentation to ensure we accurately capture this important requirement in MEDPROS!

Booster Walk In Clinic

Thursday, Dec 9 Lyster will offer the Moderna booster vaccination on a walk-in basis in V117 for Active Duty, DoD Civilians, and enrolled beneficiaries (ages 18 and over) who received their initial vaccinations at Lyster and are 6 months past their initial vaccination series. No appointment necessary. We do ask for you to please bring your COVID vaccination card with you. Walk-In Clinic Times: 0800-1145 & 1300-1545
