Cherry Point Corpsmen Awarded

Two Corpsmen serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received awards for their service to patients and fellow staff. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Colin Zuelzke and Hospital Corpsman Yuri Martinez both received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on Thursday, January 11. Zuelzke, served aboard the clinic in Patient Centered Medical Home and Martinez Hernandez in Preventative Medicine.

Legalman celebrates rating, reflects on service

As the U.S. Navy celebrates the 52nd anniversary of the Legalman (LN) rating, we take a look at one LN at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) who cherishes the role he plays helping ensure the command's legal duties are carried out. "Coming from a family comprised of lawyers who served in both the public and private sector, I have always had a calling to purse a legal career," says Legalman First Class Shawn Dorman, NMCSD Office of the Command Judge Advocate leading petty officer. "As an LN I have served on aircraft carriers and forward deployed locations and the one constant about the rate is that we are always in demand."
