Brigadier General Paula Lodi visits Martin Army Community Hospital

How many pounds of German Shepherd does it take to stop a person in his/her tracks? One hundred and two. Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi found that out today during her visit to Fort Benning. The commander of the Regional Health Command Atlantic toured Benning’s Veterinary Center and Military Police working dog kennel, after meeting with key team leaders at Martin Army Community Hospital.

Retirees: Soldiers for Life

When the coronavirus pandemic response stretched medical resources to their breaking point nationwide, retired soldiers all over the United States dropped everything from their everyday lives and strapped on boots or pulled on scrubs.

Soldier Recovery Unit: Graduating with Honors

Staff Sgt. Kevin Reese epitomizes the saying “It’s never too late.” The 57-year-old assigned to Ft. Benning’s Soldier Recovery Unit graduated magna cum laude from American Military University which is a member of the accredited American Public University System on October 1. To receive his degree “with great distinction” Reese maintained a 3.4+ GPA.

Medical teams across Hawaii train jointly to promote mission readiness

Over the course of four days in early October, Tripler Army Medical Center’s Emergency Department hosted a Joint Operations Medical Provider Readiness Simulation, here. Collectively the Army, Air Force and Navy contributed 23 facilitators and 80 participants, making this a true joint force exercise. “I’ve been in the military for 17 years and this is my first joint service training,” said Lt. Col.
