Vaccine Support Team 3 Jacksonville earns Navy Surgeon General’s Power Award

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Vaccine Support Team 3 Jacksonville earned the Navy Surgeon General’s Power Award for supporting the state-run, federally-supported Jacksonville Community Vaccination Center in spring 2021.

The deployment of MHS GENESIS culminated months of extensive preparation and intensive training at Tripler to keep pace with medical advances and innovations in technology, and enhance the high quality healthcare provided for all patients.

Army Reserve doctor describes impromptu support to OAR

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — Already a physician with her own practice in the Southern California city of Coronado, home to several military bases, including half of the Navy’s SEAL teams, the San Diego native had been treating Service Members for years. Her children had recently moved on to college, so the empty nester decided to put her years of experience as a physician to use in the U.S. Army Reserves.
