Hospital Corpsman Third Class Ty Hunziker receives the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his service aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point from October to December 2024. Hunziker, who is currently assigned to Naval Hospital Jacksonville, volunteered to serve as a Surgical Technologist in the Cherry Point clinic’s Ambulatory Procedure Unit. During that, he trained two new Surgical Technicians and completed over 100 surgical cases.

CRDAMC hosts annual flu and COVID-19 event

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Nearly 300 beneficiaries conveniently received their vaccinations during the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center annual flu or COVID-19 vaccine event hosted by its Army Public Health Nurse department Dec. 7. The APHN team offered flu shots for eligible beneficiaries 6 months and up and COVID-19 shots for 12 years and older.

Check the TRICARE Network Provider Directories Ahead of 2025

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — If you get care outside of a military hospital or clinic, it’s important to understand your civilian provider options. TRICARE’s new regional contracts, which begin Jan. 1, 2025, will affect the TRICARE provider networks in the U.S. You’re now able to check the network provider directories for both the East Region and West Region.

Fort Cavazos Soldier wins U.S. Army Company Grade Social Worker of the Year

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – Cpt. Jamie Webb, behavioral health officer and social worker, 36th Eng. Brig., received the Army Surgeon General’s 2023 Company Grade Social Worker of the Year award in a ceremony at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center Nov. 25. The award honors a company grade social worker who demonstrates the strongest commitment to the core values of the Army, exhibits clinical expertise and serves as a versatile and resilient leader within the social work profession.
