NMCP’s BHC Norfolk Establishes an Urgent Care Clinic

Portsmouth, VA — PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Nov. 5, 2021) – Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Branch Health Clinic (BHC) Norfolk recently established an Urgent Care Clinic (UCC), Nov. 2.

U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 39th Air Base Wing and medical professionals from Acıbadem Adana Hospital and Medline Adana Hospital pose for a photo during an immersion tour at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Oct. 25, 2021. During the tour, medical professionals from Acıbadem Adana Hospital and Medline Adana Hospital observed demonstrations by the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight, U.S. Army Task Force Black Cat of Alpha Company, 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade and the 39th Security Forces Squadron military working dog team. This was the first base tour given to local community partners in almost 10 years and provided the group an opportunity to learn how they directly enable the 39th ABW’s mission. Defense Health Agency gets familiar with new Hawaii Market

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — Dr. Brian Lein, assistant director for health care administration for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) visited the newly established Hawaii Market the week of October 18, 2021. Lein assists the DHA director in unifying the Military Health System, standardizing health care delivery across all military hospitals and clinics, and sustaining medical readiness of the armed forces. During his time in Hawaii he toured each of the Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) on Oahu to gain perspective of the unique capabilities, staff, and mission sets each MTF brings to the Hawaii Market.
