NMCP BEGINS 5-11 COVID-19 VACCINATIONS

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (November 10, 2021) – Following approval from the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) began providing the COVID-19 pediatric vaccination to children between the ages of five and eleven, Nov. 8.

BJACH’s newest OR Tech, Army’s newest citizen

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital welcomes the Army’s newest American citizen to their operating room. Pfc. Savana Neves, operating room specialist, arrived at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana on Oct. 25. On Oct. 29, she was interviewed and sworn in as a United States citizen in New Orleans.

COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduling Information for Patients

The 75th Medical Group is currently offering initial/booster COVID-19 (Pfizer only) and influenza vaccines to all active duty, GS, contractors, family members and retirees. Vaccines are available based upon supply. We do not yet have the vaccine for the 5-11 age group. Please check back for updates. An appointment is required to receive your vaccine, no walk-ins will be allowed.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Nov. 9, 2021) – Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) underwent the rigorous triennial onsite survey from The Joint Commission (TJC) from Aug. 10 to Aug. 13, which resulted in reaccreditation until 2024.

BJACH hosts after school COVID-19 vaccine clinic for kids

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital administered the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine to children 5-11 years old Nov. 9 at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana. BJACH coordinated the clinic after school hours, to avoid interference with student academics and filled every available appointment.
