Cherry Point Sailors Conduct Service Dress White Inspection

MCAS Cherry Point — Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point conducted a Service Dress White Uniform inspection Friday, April 29. The inspection provided leaders an opportunity to speak with Sailors about recent and upcoming events while hearing their concerns.

Hospital Corpsman Second Class Charles Brown Jr. saved the life of a Marine Corps Officer Candidate in late June, 2021 by proving immediate aid to him when he succumbed to hyperthermia during an introductory physical fitness test. He received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal during a ceremony Friday, April 15.

Cherry Point Sailor Recognized for Lifesaving Actions

MCAS Cherry Point — A sailor serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point received recognition Friday, April 15 for his role in saving the life of a fellow service member.

Sailors serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point received recognition for their efforts to live and embody the clinic’s motto of “Keeping the Warfighter in the Fight” during a ceremony held Friday, April 15 aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Hospital Corpsmen Second Class Jason Mike and Jose Lazomorales received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal along with Hospitalman Alexandre Castillo. Hospital Corpsman Third Class Emily Page received recognition for her excellence in earning the honor of Junior Sailor of the Quarter for 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.

NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — A Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune nurse has another title to add to her name – champion powerlifter. U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Holly Vickers competed in the United States Powerlifting Association’s Virginia Beach Classic on March 26, taking home the top spot for her weight class.

Throughout the month of April, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune employees wear teal and denim to help raise awareness and show support for victims of sexual assault.

NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response team will be promoting awareness with several events throughout the month. The goal is to raise awareness, create and promote a culture free from sexual assault, and help victims by resource sharing.

New electronic health record goes live at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune

NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER CAMP LEJEUNE, North Carolina — The Military Health System’s new electronic health record for Department of Defense medical sites, MHS GENESIS, is officially live at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. At 7 a.m. on March 19, NMCCL staff began using the new system for patient care for active duty service members, retirees, and their families.
