U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kevin Renteria-Maldonado, a bioenvironmental technician, helps store medications at the 6th Medical Group Drive-Thru Pharmacy on MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Sept. 30, 2024. The pharmacy opened Sept. 26 to process prescriptions and prevent further delays in care after Hurricane Helene spurred base-wide closures. The team processed over 1.5K prescriptions in six hours.

Royal Thai Air Force nurses visit 59th Medical Wing

The 59th Medical Wing hosted five Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) nurses for a professional exchange in September and October 2024, offering them immersive experience in U.S. Air Force healthcare practices. The exchange focused on medical readiness, international collaboration, and hands-on training in areas like critical care and neonatal care, giving the Thai nurses practical insights to take back to their healthcare system. U.S. Air Force and RTAF nurses exchanged best practices and developed a mutual appreciation for each other's roles in patient care and military medical missions. This collaboration strengthened U.S.-Thailand ties and underscored the importance of a global healthcare network to enhance military readiness and foster enduring connections.

NMRTC Bremerton Sailors Remembering Those for Veterans Day

Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Bremerton Second Class Petty Officer Association held a volunteer event, Nov. 2, 2024, at Ivy Green Cemetery in Bremerton to spruce up the hallowed grounds and place flags on those fallen military men and women, including John H. Nibbe, Civil War hero interred there. Ivy Green is also the site of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, commemorating those fallen military men and women veterans lost over the years. Over 245 retirees took advantage of the health and wellness activities, and booth displays.
