The urgent care clinic at Womack Army Medical Center is now open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for testing and treating patients that have symptoms of COVID-19. The WAMC Urgent Care Clinic is a walk-in clinic only. Patients that walk in will receive a mask and undergo COVID-19 medical treatment. On weekends, patients with COVID-19 symptoms should go to the emergency roomThe hospital department that provides emergency services to patients who need immediate medical attention.. Please use the All American Expressway entrance to access the medical center.

Tripler celebrates 100 years of trusted care

By Mackenzie Walsh July 1, 2020 Tripler Army Medical Center, the big pink hospital on the hill, celebrated 100 years of the name Tripler, June 26. The celebration, marking 100 years of trusted care, began with a fitness team challenge among departments comprised of a 100 meter swim, 6.5 mile ruck, 3.2 mile run, and plank challenge in which the winner lasted more than 20 minutes. The day included an awards ceremony, specialty 1940s themed lunch, and cake cutting. During the ceremony, congratulatory notes from Governor David Ige and Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu Kirk Caldwell expressing their gratitude and appreciation of the military ohana were read. Caldwell, in recognition of this important milestone, proclaimed June 26, 2020 as “Tripler Army Medical Center Day” in recognition of their significant contributions over the past century.

Denton Program Transports Aid To Honduras

Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras— A U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft from the 133rd Air National Guard in Minnesota transported a large donation of 44,180 pounds of humanitarian aid supplies to Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, June 26, through the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Denton Program

NMRTC PH Change of Command 2020

On June 19, Capt. Kimberly Zuzelski relinquished Command of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Pearl Harbor (NMRTC PH) to Capt. Christopher Tepera during an alternatively formatted ceremony. NMRTC PH is one of the many commands changing hands this summer under unusual circumstances due to COVID-19.

Honduran Air Force, US Army partner for first-ever online MEDEVAC training course

SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras — Twenty members of the Honduran Air Force graduated from a Basic Aeromedical Evacuation training course provided by Joint Task Force- Bravo, June 19. The three-week academic training course included the participation of 13 nurses and seven doctors stationed at different Honduran Air Force bases, who connected with their JTF-Bravo counterpart from the 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment through video chat.
