The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
Our military hospital remains open and we’re continuing to provide healthcare services. Scheduled appointments and procedures are proceeding as planned, and new appointments continue to be booked. Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital formally opened the doors to the current facility in 1983. The hospital was named in honor of New Orleans native, Brigadier General Stanhope Bayne-Jones, the world acclaimed bacteriologist responsible for the control of typhus in Europe at the conclusion of World War II.

We Are NMCCL: Case Management Department

NMCCL currently has 29 case managers within the Case Management Department. They cover a wide variety of internal departments for NMCCL and active duty units throughout Camp Lejeune, including Wounded Warrior Battalion-East and Marine Forces Special Operations Command, making NMCCL Case Management one of the largest case management programs throughout Navy Medicine.

WRNMMC Director BG Davis pays tribute to victims of the recent U.S. gun shootings

The Director of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Brig. General Jack Davis, paid tribute to victims of the recent shooting at an elementary school in Texas during a recent morning colors formation at the facility. He said the tragic event and others like it are especially impactful on the staff, which is largely made up of military personnel and healthcare workers who are committed to protecting lives.
