CRDAMC's "Black Knight" Troop Battalion welcomes new commander

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – The Troop Battalion at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center bid farewell to Lt. Col. Jody Shipley as Lt. Col. Jamie L. Culbreath assumed command during a ceremony Aug. 4 here. Culbreath, a medical service corps officer, holds a master’s of science degree, a master’s degree in business administration, and is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College.

If your PCM needs to refer you to a civilian provider, your TRICARE regional contractor also plays a role in the referral process.

Soldiers inducted into NCO Corps at Walter Reed

Six Soldiers of the Medical Readiness Brigade, National Capital Region at Walter Reed, and two from the Public Health Command – Atlantic, Fort Meade, Maryland, walked beneath an arch emblazoned with the seven Army Values (loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage), and then two raised swords on Aug. 4, symbolically marking their induction into the time-honored Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Corps.

Breastfeeding Awareness Month health fair big hit for BJACH, Fort Johnson

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital hosted a Breastfeeding Awareness Month Family health fair from 8 a.m. to noon on August 5, at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Johnson. The event, coordinated by the BJACH Labor, Delivery and Post Partum Ward and the OB/GYN Clinic, was designed to give new and expecting parents an opportunity to learn about lactation, pediatric, behavioral health, and other community resources in a fun and family-friendly atmosphere.
