Murtha Cancer Center Hosts 2022 Breast Cancer Summit

The John P. Murtha Cancer Center (MCC) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) hosted its 2022 Breast Cancer Summit virtually Oct. 26. The summit is held annually during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month began in 1985 as a collaborative effort between several organizations to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research, as well as increase early detection of the disease by encouraging women to have mammograms.
