From classroom to confidence: CRDAMC helps prepare future Army nurses

Ten ROTC nursing cadets spent four weeks at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center building clinical skills, exploring different areas of Army medicine, and gaining confidence in their abilities. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and experiences beyond the hospital, the cadets left NSTP better prepared for their final year of nursing — and whatever comes next as Army nurses.

Evans participates in Colorado Springs full-scale exercise

Evans Army Community Hospital personnel participated in a full-scale Mass Casualty exercise simulating a commercial aircraft crash at the Colorado Springs Airport Aug. 19, 2026. Teams from the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Airport, fire department, law enforcement, emergency management, community hospitals, Peterson Air Force Base and more than two dozen additional partners participated in a realistic emergency response scenario.

Held in LRMC’s Heaton Auditorium, the event brought together hospital leaders, behavioral health professionals, Soldiers and community partners under this this year’s theme, “Never Alone, Never Forgotten.”
