Walter Reed invests in Nursing Care After Trauma course to enhance readiness

BETHESDA, Md. — After training over 250 medical-surgical nursing personnel, the Directorate for Professional Practice and Clinical Excellence plans to offer its Nursing Care After Trauma course on a quarterly basis to enhance readiness.

USNH Yokosuka leaders visit Shonan Kamakura General Hospital to enhance healthcare collaboration

YOKOSUKA, Japan — Leaders from U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Yokosuka visited Shonan Kamakura General Hospital (SKGH) May 18 to build professional relationships, discuss regional healthcare collaboration and better understand regional medical capabilities and healthcare coordination within the local community.

Children show their pearly whites for dental day

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — The 55th Dental Squadron held a free dental day for dependent children of service members March 6, 2026, at the Ehrling Bergquist Clinic.

Truman, the long-standing facility dog for Walter Reed’s Military Advanced Training Center (MATC) passed away in May 2026 after a brave fight against cancer.
