Winn Army Community Hospital took its first steps on the path to transforming beneficiaries’ relationship with the hospital Nov. 7 with a kickoff town hall-style meeting for its new patient-focused committee that beneficiaries can join and share their insights. The first meeting of Winn’s Patient and Family Partnership Council (PFPC), held in the hospital’s conference room, introduced the concept of and the reasons behind the council. Fifteen people participated, including the hospital commander, staff members, spouses, retirees, and others. The PFPC’s goal is patient-centered health care through identifying both areas of success and improvement at Winn.

Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) staff are being recognized for their outstanding work in the Defense Health Network (DHN) Atlantic’s Joint Outpatient Experience Survey (JOES) “Best of the Best” report for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2024.

Effective Nov. 12, 2024, the IACH Appointment Line will adjust its opening hours to 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This change moves the opening time from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., while closing hours remain unchanged. The shift in hours is designed to better align with the finalization of same-day appointment availability. Each morning, IACH providers’ schedules are reviewed to confirm the latest openings, ensuring that patients can access accurate information about available appointment times when calling in.

Lieutenant Junior Grade James Cramer serves in the Patient Centered Medical Home Port aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point providing care to service members assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and their families. He was presented the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal during a ceremony Wednesday, October 30 for his service as a Staff Nurse at Naval Hospital Bremerton in Washington state. There, Cramer led a 16-person team delivering care while improving the hospital’s onboarding procedures.
