Prostate Center at Walter Reed leads DOD’s effort in prostate cancer care

Fred Cohrs is a prostate cancer good news success story. He was a high-risk patient, diagnosed by a biopsy performed at the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, then referred to the Center for Prostate Disease Research (CDPR) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) for minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery.

Scan or text: Simply scan the QR code or text "get in line" to (855) 797-3905. 2. Get in line: Your place in line is secured, so you can go about your day. 3. Pick up: When your prescription is ready, head to Window 7 at the Irwin Army Community Hospital pharmacy. Q-Anywhere is available Monday - Friday, 5 a.m. - 3 p.m., for new prescriptions and renewals entered within the last 7 days. Requests will be ready after 10 a.m. the next business day. For prescriptions older than 7 days, you'll need to activate them in person at the pharmacy during business hours (8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.). For refills, continue to use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal or the Audiocare number on your prescription bottle. For urgent needs, please come to the pharmacy and pull a ticket.

On Jan. 1, 2025, there will be changes to the TRICARE regions in the United States as part of TRICARE's new regional contracts. While there will still be two TRICARE regions, six states currently in the East Region (Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin) will move to the West Region.
