Prostate Center at Walter Reed leads DOD’s effort in prostate cancer care

Fred Cohrs is a prostate cancer good news success story. He was a high-risk patient, diagnosed by a biopsy performed at the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, then referred to the Center for Prostate Disease Research (CDPR) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) for minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery.

CRDAMC holds transfer of authority ceremony for its Medical Support Unit

FORT CAVAZOS, Texas – The 7222nd Medical Support Unit assumed the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Centers medical support mission, augmenting medical services to the Fort Cavazos Deployment Readiness Center, as Lt. Col. James Robinson, commander, 7222nd MSU and 1st. Sgt. Pedro Lopezcolon, senior enlisted advisor, uncased the unit’s colors in a transfer of authority ceremony at the hospital 28 Aug.
