LRMC COVID-19 testing exceeds 50K

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center recently exceeded 50,000 COVID-19 tests in efforts to slow the spread of the virus overseas. Starting in February, LRMC’s Infectious Diseases Laboratory began testing for COVID-19 utilizing the Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase Diagnostic Panel, becoming the only U.S. military medical treatment facility in Europe with diagnostic testing capabilities. As the threat of COVID-19 increased, so has demand for testing, resulting in the addition of rapid multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and a high-throughput testing system which provides rapid, high-volume testing of COVID-19 test samples.

The road to 100,000 drive-thru prescriptions The pharmacy at Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic met a milestone, Oct. 29, by filling their 100,000th prescription after 216 days of operating a drive-thru pharmacy. New Monthly Premiums for TRICARE Young Adult Plans in 2021

Beginning on Jan. 1, 2021, premiums for TRICARE Young Adult (TYA) coverage will increase. TYA Select will increase by 12.7% and TYA Prime by 22%. These changes reflect the increase in TYA program costs for calendar year 2021.
