New clinics bringing health care closer to Marines, Sailors

Active duty service members aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune will soon have closer options for their health care needs. Since 2013, the Defense Health Agency has worked closely with Navy and Marine Corps counterparts to visualize and build Marine Centered Medical Homes (MCMH). These state-of-the-art clinics are scheduled to open throughout the next few years.

Continuous Glucose Monitors Now Available as a TRICARE Pharmacy Benefit

If you use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM), you’re in luck. TRICARE Pharmacy Program now covers two brands of CGMs. These are the Abbott FreeStyle Libre 2 and the Dexcom G6. Previously, CGMs were only available as durable medical equipment (DME) under the TRICARE medical benefit. CGMs continue to be covered as a DME medical benefit, but they’re also now available as part of your pharmacy benefit.

CRDAMC names central utility plant after its late project manager Jeffrey W. Bodkin

The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center held a ceremony dedicating its Central Utility Plant after the late Jeffrey W. Bodkin June 2. Bodkin worked for almost 12 years as a project manager and contracting officer representative in the facility management division of CRDAMC before medically retiring in 2019 and passing away in 2021.
