Plan Now: TRICARE Select Enrollment Fees for Group A Retirees Coming January 2021

Did you hear the news about TRICARE Select enrollment fees? TRICARE Select Group A retirees must begin paying enrollment fees to maintain health coverage starting on Jan. 1, 2021. TRICARE Select is the name of the plan that replaced the former TRICARE Standard and TRICARE Extra programs in 2018.

COVID-19 Testing

The urgent care clinic at Womack Army Medical Center is now open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for testing and treating patients that have symptoms of COVID-19. The WAMC Urgent Care Clinic is a walk-in clinic only. Patients that walk in will receive a mask and undergo COVID-19 medical treatment. On weekends, patients with COVID-19 symptoms should go to the emergency roomThe hospital department that provides emergency services to patients who need immediate medical attention.. Please use the All American Expressway entrance to access the medical center.

On Sept. 1, the Defense Health Agency (DHA) launched 74 new websites for Air Force military hospital and clinics. ­This is an important step to modernize the Military Health System on the web. Each website moved to the TRICARE website to give patients a standard web experience.

Effective Monday, July 6th, Womack Army Medical Center primary care clinics and staff will return to full operations. In line with Governor Roy Cooper’s implementation of phase 1 and 2 plans, and after discussion with the Womack Army Medical Center COVID-19 task force, we have determined that Womack can safely return all primary care clinics to both in-person and virtual health appointments.
