Walter Reed/NCR team conducts humanitarian, readiness mission in Honduras

WRNMMC, Bethesda, Md. — A medical team from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Walter Reed) and the National Capital Region (NCR) recently returned to the medical center after providing head and neck surgical oncology and advanced airway care and surgeries to patients during a two-week humanitarian and readiness mission in Honduras.

Walter Reed’s Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health launches efficient initial appointment process

WRNMMC, Bethesda, Md. — “Efficiency leads to recapture,” state Defense Health Agency (DHA) officials, recognizing the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health (AOBH) Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (Walter Reed). The clinic successfully launched an Initial Entry Clinic (IEC) designed to assist Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries obtain their first therapy appointment in under two weeks. “This initiative [allowed] Walter Reed to consistently meet access to care standards from January to July 2024,” added DHA officials.

Womack Welcomes New Leadership, Honors Outgoing Commander's Legacy

Womack Army Medical Center Commander, Col. David R. Zinnante relinquished command to Col. Stephanie L. Mont during a poignant change of command ceremony September 17, in the Weaver auditorium. The ceremony, attended by Womack staff, military personnel, family members, and distinguished guests, marked the culmination of Zinnante’ s two-year tenure.
