Tripler Army Medical Center Daisy Award

Please join us in congratulating Staff Sgt. Jesus Hernandez, Tripler Army Medical Center’s most recent Daisy Award recipient!

Hernandez, a licensed practical nurse in the Medical Specialties Clinic, was nominated by a coworker who wrote that Hernandez demonstrated the exceptional qualities of a DAISY Award recipient during two recent incidents assisting TAMC chemotherapy patients who were in distress.

The nominator wrote the following:

“Through these two distinct incidents, Staff Sgt. Hernandez has consistently exhibited the highest standards of compassionate care and clinical proficiency. His proactive approach, dedication to patient safety, and willingness to go above and beyond make him an exemplary candidate for the Daisy Award. Hernandez not only significantly impacted these two patients’ outcomes, but clearly exemplifies the true spirit of nursing support.”
