From Ghana’s Streets to an MLS Stadium: Airman Finds Home in Football and Service

Senior Airman Ebenezer Owusu Arthur, a 59th Medical Wing central sterile processing technician, recently competed in a military-only soccer tournament hosted by Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake. Growing up in Ghana, Arthur learned discipline and resilience through the sport, which he continues to carry into his Air Force career. His journey serves as a reminder to fellow Airmen that dedication can turn aspirations into reality.

Through Green Belt certification, Airmen complete online training and lead process improvement projects to streamline operations. Operation AGILE Medic, communication is key

During the first week of December 2023, the Air Force, Army and Marines collaborated in Operation AGILE Medic at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas, providing medics with real-world experience in austere environments transporting patients and implementing hands-on Medic-X training. Throughout the joint exercise, medics were faced with unexpected scenarios, where they had to communicate between the Expeditionary Medical Support unit to the En Route Patient Staging System (ERPSS) team to Air Evacuation and, or, Critical Care Air Transport team, and vice versa.
