The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Fort Lee AWC announces Fit for Duty challenge winners

The Army Wellness Center here has pulled off another successful Fit for Duty Challenge, with this year’s event drawing five enthusiastic teams comprised of active duty personnel, family members and DA Civilians.

Bod Pod walk-ins available at AWC

Starting Feb. 12, the Army Wellness Center is reinstating walk-in hours for the Bod Pod, the Gold Standard of body composition testing, which will be available for walk-in opportunities every Friday morning 7:30-11:30 a.m. (unless otherwise notified of hourly adjustments via the Fort Lee Army Wellness Center Facebook page). All service members, dependents (over 17 y/o), retirees and DOD civilians are welcome to participate. However, in order to be optimally prepared, please call 804-734-9925 to receive pre-test instructions.
