Did you know, a person is more likely to get a sunburn going outside when thew sun rays are more direct, which usually takes place between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Skinner noted that proper hydration is not just a topic du jour during the summer but is especially crucial as it allows a body to cool down and remove waste. Carrying a water bottle makes for easy access when on the go. Skinner also advocates to choose water and not a surgery drink even when dining out. “The use of sunscreen and maintaining hydration were ‘hot’ – pun intended - topics as local temperatures are reaching into the 90s this week,” exclaimed Skinner (official Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Jennifer Benedict).
