FORT RILEY, Kansas –
There’s a place on post where Soldiers, families, and civilians are building stronger bodies, clearer minds, and sustainable habits. It’s called the Armed Forces Wellness Center, a welcoming space where real people are finding their energy again, one smart habit at a time.
The AFWC is not a spa. It’s not a lecture series. And it’s definitely not a vague promise of “wellness.” It’s a full-spectrum, science-driven health coaching center staffed by experts who work one-on-one with clients, track measurable progress, and provide the tools needed to build a healthier life.
Whether you're trying to drop your body fat, manage stress, improve eating habits, get better sleep, the AFWC offers a personalized approach. It’s where lifestyle change meets follow-through.
When you walk into the AFWC, you’re not handed a pamphlet. You’re paired with a coach. From day one, you’ll receive tailored guidance, practical goal setting, and measurable milestones that fit your lifestyle and schedule. And because coaching can be done in person or virtually, it’s more accessible than ever.
“Our job is to take the guesswork out of health,” said Kendra Seat, AFWC director. “People come in with good intentions, but they leave with a strategy and a coach who’s going to help them follow through.”
AFWC staff are degreed health educators trained in evidence-based practices such as behavior change, metabolic testing, performance nutrition, and physical fitness. Their services are available at no cost to active duty service members, family members, retirees, and Department of Defense civilians.
No referral is needed. Whether you’re starting from scratch or working to reclaim your energy, the AFWC can help you move forward with purpose. If you’ve ever said, “I need to do better with my health,” but didn’t know where to start—this is it.
The Armed Forces Wellness Center is located at 7285 Normandy Dr., Fort Riley. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 785-239-9355. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Come by, meet the team, and discover what support really looks like.
