Army's Best of the Best: Ms. Ruby Ramos

By Jane Lee, Martin Army Community Hospital

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) recognized Medical Support Assistant (MSA) Ruby Ramos as ranking among the Army’s Best of the Best. Ms. Ramos’ smiling face is often the first thing patients see at Fort Benning’s Martin Army Community Hospital’s (BMACH) Dermatology Clinic. She scored 100% patient satisfaction on the Joint Outpatient Experience Survey (JOES) from April 1 through June 30 because she goes above and beyond when it comes to patient-centered care.

Deputy Commander for Clinical Services Col. Joshua Will praised Ramos, “it is truly a credit to you that you make sure all the patients are happy by the time they see their doctor. The front desk staff is the face of our organization and I wish we had the ability to clone people because I would take a clone of you and put you in front of every desk.”

For her part, Ramos credited her team, “I work with the best doctors. I get to know my patients on a personal level. I just sincerely love my job, I don’t really want any awards.” Ever the MSA, Ramos said she will celebrate her DHA recognition… her second by the way… not by going out to dinner, but by completing her referral list.
