FALLS CHURCH, Va. –
In the Military Health System, care works best when patients, providers, and caregivers stay informed, connected, and supported. The
Virtual Education Center is a health education tool that helps make this possible.
The VEC is a secure online platform approved by the Defense Health Agency. It lets users search, save, and share more than 45,000 health education materials. These resources cover many topics, such as:
- Managing long-term health problems
- Learning about medications
- Preparing for medical procedures
- Taking care of your mental health
The VEC is built for the military community. The DHA checks every piece of information in the VEC to ensure it’s accurate, clear, and useful. This helps patients and providers trust the information, knowing it fits the unique needs of service members, retirees, and their family members.
The VEC makes it easier to:
- Search for DHA-approved health information by topic
- Send resources by email, text message, or QR code to family members
- Save and organize materials for future use or sharing
- Access clear and consistent messages across your care journey
Whether you’re a patient getting ready for a visit, or a caregiver looking for help, the VEC helps keep everyone on the same page.
Visit the Virtual Education Center to explore for yourself. See how learning and sharing can lead to better health.
