JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas –
The 59th Medical Wing Science and Technology Directorate (59 MDW/ST) was honored to host Jeremy Nelson, PhD, on his visit to Joint Base San Antonio Lackland following his appointment as the new Chief Innovation Officer for VelocityTX. His visit marks an important milestone in our continued collaboration.
Dr. Nelson spent time engaging with leadership and research teams to gain deeper insight into the 59MDW’s mission-focused innovation portfolio. VelocityTX remains a highly valued Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) partner. Through this partnership, both organizations are committed to fostering innovation that supports the Defense Health Agency’s priority of generating and sustaining warfighter readiness. The exchange of ideas during this visit reaffirmed a shared commitment to translating research into real-world capability for the Joint Force.
We greatly appreciate Dr. Nelson and the VelocityTX team for taking time out of their busy schedule to visit. The 59 MDW/ST looks forward to building an even stronger and more dynamic partnership in the months ahead, advancing innovation that directly impacts military medicine and national security.
