Cherry Point Clinic Lab Staff Pass Vigorous Inspection

By Mr. Thomas Cieslak

Sailors and civilians serving aboard Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point recently proved exceptional attention to detail and skill by passing a vigorous inspection with a 99% pass rate.

The facility’s Laboratory staff underwent a biennial inspection from the College of American Pathologists with only four minor deficiencies cited among 361 inspectable items.  The College of American Pathologists is the accrediting agency for all labs found within military treatment facilities.

The Lab staff ensures the medical readiness of Cherry Point service members and the wellness of their families by drawing blood and processing other samples provided by patients to help them and their providers make informed decisions about their healthcare.
