FORT RILEY, Kansas –
At Fort Riley, the well-being of our Soldiers, families, and retirees includes caring for their four-legged companions. The Fort Riley Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) is ready to provide trusted, professional care for your pets, ensuring they remain healthy, protected, and registered in accordance with garrison policy.
From wellness exams and vaccines to sick-call diagnostics and international health certificates, the VTF delivers evidence-based care tailored to your pet’s needs. The team also performs anesthetic procedures, provides prescription refills, and offers microchipping for long-term safety.
Why register your pet?
Registration is more than a formality—it’s a safeguard. By maintaining up-to-date immunizations and registration through the VTF, you protect your pet, your family, and the Fort Riley community. Garrison Policy Memorandum #15 requires that all cats and dogs be current on rabies, distemper, and parvovirus vaccines, registered with the VTF, and microchipped.
Eligibility extends to Active Duty, retirees, Medal of Honor recipients, and veterans with 100% disability. Please bring official identification (CAC, DD Form 2, or DD Form 2765) to register.
