Patient & Family Partnership Council

By Jorge Gomez

At Irwin Army Community Hospital, our commitment to patient-centered care takes another step forward with the launch of the Patient & Family Partnership Council (PFPC)—a rebranding of the former Patient & Family Advisory Council. The PFPC is designed to give patients and their families a meaningful voice in shaping their healthcare experience at IACH.

The PFPC is a council composed of patient advisors who work collaboratively with hospital staff to elevate current or chronic issues to leadership. Their feedback and perspectives help drive positive changes that enhance care quality, access, and the overall patient experience.

The council meets quarterly, and anyone interested in becoming an advisor can reach out via email to the PFPC team at dha.riley.Irwin-ACH.mbx.iach-pfpc@health.mil. Advisors do not need special qualifications—just a passion for improving healthcare, a willingness to share their perspectives, and the ability to collaborate with others.

In line with our dedication to transparency, IACH has launched a new webpage showcasing the PFPC’s accomplishments and ongoing projects. This resource provides a clear window into how the council is making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

To learn more or to join the PFPC, email the team at dha.riley.Irwin-ACH.mbx.iach-pfpc@health.mil.
