The Novavax vaccine is here!

By Public Affairs Officer Kathy Hieatt

The Novavax vaccine is now available at Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River!

Novavax is a great alternative for those who did not want to receive the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccines. We offer first and second doses of Novavax on Fridays from 10-11 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m. (no boosters have been approved for Novavax yet). An appointment is required and can be made at https://informatics-stage.health.mil/covax/.

Novavax is available to patients age 12 or older and is delivered in two doses 21 days apart.

Additional information about these vaccines is available at cdc.gov.
