If you’re a TRICARE Select Group A retiree, you may now set up monthly automatic payments for your new 2021 TRICARE Select enrollment fees. You need to take action if you want to maintain your TRICARE Select coverage in 2021. You don’t need to wait for TRICARE Open Season to begin to do this.

This change only affects Group A: If you or your sponsor’s initial enlistment or appointment occurred before January 1, 2018, you are in Group A. retirees and their family members enrolled in TRICARE Select or TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) Select. You’re considered Group A if your initial enlistment or appointment or that of your uniformed services sponsor began before Jan. 1, 2018. This doesn’t affect you if you use TRICARE For Life, TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Reserve Select, TRICARE Retired Reserve, or TRICARE Young Adult.

You should take immediate action and contact your TRICARE contractor to set up payment for enrollment fees now. You must make payments by allotment, when feasible. If you take action before Nov. 20, the allotment payment will be effective Jan. 1, 2021. However, after Nov. 20, you may have to pay for one or more months up front while waiting for the allotment to process. If you’re unable to pay by allotment, you must set up automatic payments via an electronic funds transfer from a U.S. bank account, credit card, or debit card.

Depending on your TRICARE contractor, you can set up your monthly payment by online self-service, phone, or mail. To get started:

• In the East Region: Under the new regional contracts, the East Region is a merger of the North and South Regions and includes: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa (Rock Island area), Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri (St. Louis area), New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (excluding El Paso area), Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin., visit the Humana Military website.
• In the West Region: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa (excludes Rock Island arsenal area), Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri (except St. Louis area), Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas (southwestern corner including El Paso), Utah, Washington and Wyoming., visit the Health Net Federal Services, LLC website.
• Overseas, visit the International SOS Government Services, Inc. website or contact your TOP Regional Call Center.

Keep in mind, you’re subject to disenrollment from TRICARE Select if you fail to pay enrollment fees by Jan. 1, 2021. If this happens, you’ll have 180 days from your last paid through date to request reinstatement. Be sure to contact your TRICARE contractor if you have questions or need to reinstate your enrollment.
